Employment Assistance

VACCEB’s recognizes that immigrants face many different challenges on their path to financial independence. In response, we have developed a multi-faceted approach to address the holistic needs of each client. Our model integrates workforce development, public benefits assistance, and financial education and coaching to provide all clients with a solid foundation to secure employment and reach financial stability. 

Our Path to Self-Sufficiency (PSS) Program client services include: 

  • ESL classes (as needed) 

  • Assessments and counseling to identify short and long-term career goals 

  • Resume and cover letter creation 

  • Assistance with job searches and applications 

  • Direct job placement at local partner employers 

  • Mock interviews and access to free professional clothing 

  • Job retention and ongoing on-the-job counseling 

  • Education about workplace rights 

  • Referrals to external sector-based training, community colleges, and GED programs 

  • Long-term future career counseling and support to attain career advancement and jobs with higher wages.

Employment Assistance

While participating in VACCEB’s PSS Program, all clients have access to our wraparound services, including: nutritious meals, public benefits enrollment, translation/interpretation, immigration legal services, ESL classes, digital and financial literacy workshops, and more. 

We serve a number of unique client populations including Southeast Asians, limited English speakers, asylees, highly-skilled immigrant professionals, and those who have been impacted by the Digital Divide (i.e. lack of access to technology and/or limited digital literacy skills). Sectors of employed clients primarily include hospitality, food & beverage, retail, industrial/production, security, and healthcare.
